LWN And TMOC Go Head To Head

December 21, 2007

Bowl Pick em

LWN and The Man of Cheese got together at the LWN staff offices to go Head to Head for a battle of college bowl supremacy.  Each remaining bowl game was chosen by the two, and a coin flip determined first choice in team picking.  We went through the games chronologically and chose using spreads available on 12/21.  The team not chosen by the writer was given to the other writer.  For example, if LWN chose Memphis +3.5, TMOC got FAU -3.5 and so on.

Breaking Down the Heisman Show

December 10, 2007

Heisman Trophy Tebow

It started with a crappy montage. It ended with Colt Brennan probably wondering why he flew 18 hours so that Chris Fowler could open up his past on live television. In between, well you can read that for yourself below!

LWN and blog author The Ultimate Decider of Justice (UDOJ) love montages at the opening of sports shows. UDOJ has become quite a source on montages and contends nothing can hold a candle to the opening scenes of CBS’ coverage of The Masters golf tournament. Read the rest of this entry »

It’s Monday and I AM Angry Part IV

“So who gets screwed this year?” – BCS 2007

Seemingly every week a #2 team would lose, throwing a wrench in the indestructible gears of the BCS machine. I cant even tell you how many OT thrillers, or insane comebacks there were this year. Hell, the year started with a Michican loss to Appy State. It was a speeding train of awesomeness that, last night, slammed into a wall. No one could have predicted this year, so what better way to decide the fate of these teams than a bunch of old guys casting votes? It seems so logical!! Why let teams play it out for the best in the country? I know, every year we debate this, every year someone gets screwed, every year nothing changes. Still, it must be said. So air your grievances LWN fans, after all it is Monday and you are probably at work, what else do you have to do? Read the rest of this entry »

“The Ire Of The Tiger….(s) Fans”

If Mizzou fans are not upset today, then they will be after reading this. If I were a Mizzou fan, I would be upset. Sure that win against Kansas was dare I say the biggest win in the history of the program? There has not been so much excitement in Columbia since Don Faurot introduced the “Split T” formation to the Tigers and collegiate football. Read the rest of this entry »
