It’s Monday and I AM Angry Part IV

Troy Aikman Sucks

Fox’s Troy Aikman and Joe Buck need to stop announcing Giants games or my beautiful television might not survive. Their unprofessional rhetoric is getting old, damn quick. I have never seen a broadcast team go out of their way to talk so poorly about a player who has never been convicted of a crime.

If this seems like something I wrote before, that’s because I did.

Biggest Thugs in Sports/Arrest(s) of the Week Part VI

December 3, 2007

Happy Monday!

Chester Pitts Arrested

Welcome to the club Chester Pitts! Chester Pitts was arrested on November 29th after leaving Reliant Stadium. Angry neighbors near the stadium had complained drivers had been making illegal U-turns, so the police were on a stake-out! Pitts was one of four cited for illegal turns. When police flagged down another car at the site, Pitts for whatever reason decided to high tail it out of there. He got less than a half mile down the road before he pulled over again and was detained.

This is really odd since it was reported that Pitts initially cooperated with the officers. Why did he determine that a couple hundred dollars in traffic tickets was worse than an arrest? The world may never know.

I wonder if Pitts will now tell elementary school children that evading police is a crime.

“So who gets screwed this year?” – BCS 2007

December 3, 2007

screwIf you were bored by College Football this year, then you will NEVER find it exciting. Perhaps you should take up knitting or gardening, or get a lapdog that you can dress up. Seemingly every week a #2 team would lose, throwing a wrench in the indestructible gears of the BCS machine. I cant even tell you how many OT thrillers, or insane comebacks there were this year. Hell, the year started with a Michican loss to Appy State. It was a speeding train of awesomeness that, last night, slammed into a wall. No one could have predicted this year, so what better way to decide the fate of these teams than a bunch of old guys casting votes? It seems so logical!! Why let teams play it out for the best in the country? I know, every year we debate this, every year someone gets screwed, every year nothing changes. Still, it must be said. So air your grievances LWN fans, after all it is Monday and you are probably at work, what else do you have to do? Read the rest of this entry »
