Welcome back dear friends. I know its been a few days since the draft, but I had a wedding to go to this past weekend. That meant that the draft was DVRed, and my roommate Josh and I took off Tuesday to watch all 18 hours in its entirety. We also drank a case of beer and grilled delicious food. (I will get to all of this in a moment).
I love DVR. Did you know Tivo/DVR has been attempted to be outlawed? Television sponsors cried foul when these technological advances were introduced into mainstream America. The thought was that there would be less commercials and more direct product placement almost immediately. There was one lawsuit filed after Tivo allowed users to completely bypass commercials. To my knowledge that “bug” has been fixed. Also, studies have shown that while these technologies have been used frequently by Americans, most of us still watch our favorite mind numbing, reality escaping programs in their specified time slots.
